Highland Middle School Vex Robotics Contest on November 17th , 2013 In a very tight final Match the winning alliance teams 6390B and 6390a from Highland Middle School and along with Ridgedale team 7749b won a shot at the Ohio State Championship that will be held at Harding High School February 22nd. In a very closely contested in a best two out three match they beat North Union Middle School teams 4810F, 4810A and 4810 E at the Highland Middle School Qualifier. The Highland Qualfier is a part of the RAMTEC Vex Robotics League. Teams are vying for a state berth that will make them eligiable one of three Vex Toss Up World Championship middle school spot in Anaheim April 24th. Ridgedale team 7749 took the Design Award and North Union team 4810F took home the Excellent Award for the best overall robot. Both teams are also eligable for the Ohio State champonship in Marion. North Union team 4810c won the OSUM Engineering Judges Award and $1,000 scholarships to the OSUM.
